Knowledge Connectors
Automatically pull content from external sources like Zendesk into your knowledge base.
What are Knowledge Connectors?
Knowledge Connectors let you automatically import content from external sources into your BLEUM knowledge base. Instead of manually copying articles, you connect to a source and BLEUM pulls the content in and keeps it up to date.
The most common connector is Zendesk Help Center, which syncs your existing support articles so your AI agent can reference them during calls.
Available Connector Types
| Connector | Description |
|---|---|
| Manual Upload | Write or paste content directly. Best for FAQs and curated content. |
| Zendesk Help Center | Syncs published articles from your Zendesk account automatically. |
| URL / Sitemap | Imports content from specific web pages or an entire sitemap. |
Setting Up Zendesk Sync
Navigate to Knowledge Connectors and click "Enable Zendesk." You will need your Zendesk subdomain and to authorize the connection.
Filter by categories, sections, or labels. You can sync everything or just specific parts of your help center.
Click "Sync Now" to pull articles. BLEUM strips formatting, chunks the content, and creates searchable embeddings automatically.
Choose daily, weekly, or manual sync to keep your knowledge base current as you update Zendesk articles.
Testing Your Content
After syncing, use the Test Query panel to verify your content works. Enter a question a caller might ask, review the AI-generated answer, check the confidence score, and see which source documents were used.
Common Questions
Daily sync is recommended if you update articles frequently. Weekly is fine if your content rarely changes. You can always trigger a manual sync after making big changes.
Yes. When an article is unpublished or deleted in Zendesk, the next sync removes it from your BLEUM knowledge base too.
